At Thaxton, we believe that cost should not be a barrier to your health and wellness.
We offer various payment options. Please call the office for more information.
If you plan to use your insurance benefits, please check:​
  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

The following insurances reimburse in network:
  • Aetna

  • Amerihealth

  • Beacon

  • Cigna

  • EAP

  • Geisinger

  • Highmark/BCBS

  • Magellan

  • Medicare

  • Multiplan

  • Optum/United Healthcare

  • Tricare

  • UPMC

If you don't see your insurance listed, give us a call and we will check your specific benefits.

Check with your insurance for additional in-or-out of network coverage information. Other business and insurance that are not mentioned above, may reimburse for services.

For clients who are pursuing out-of-network coverage, or are paying out of pocket, we ask that payment be made at the time of each appointment; credit card, check, or cash is accepted.


Private pay option (call for more information), cash, check, and most major credit cards accepted for payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $50 late cancellation/no show fee. Some exceptions may be considered for emergency, illness, and weather-related cancellations.
